Big Pine Key inshore quarry include:Tarpon, bonefish, permit, snook, cobia, jack crevalle, barracuda and sharks. Many of the fish are available year round, but there are special times of the year when some of the fish can be found in great abundance as they call Big Pine Key their temporary home. Capt. Just off the coast of Big Pine Key the Atlantic Ocean is home to the most extensive living coral reef system in North American waters and the third largest system in the world.The local reef habitats are also full of Grouper, King Mackerel, Yellowtail and Mangrove Snappers. Night time charters are available to fish during prime feeding for some species.
Beyond the reef and into the blue water of the Atlantic waters, pelagic schools of dolphin, king mackeral, sailfish, tripletail and wahoo are on the hunt for smaller bait fish to call lunch. Capt. Marcus gives them what they are looking for while trolling offshore.
